About Me, Victoria
I currently live in Utah with my husband and golden retriever border collie mix, TJ (named after Washington Capitals star TJ Oshie). I am sports fan, but mostly football and hockey (go caps go!). We spend lots of time on planes and outdoors and try to give our dog the best life possible. I love Cafe Rio, fettuccine alfredo, and vegetables with ranch.
From a more professional perspective, I started my career in the sports world, first interning with Infinite Scale and The University of Utah Football Team. I then took a full-time design role with the (at the time) Redskins, then Washington Football Team (and now Washington Commanders, though I was not there for this name change) - complicated, I know. This time in professional sports was HUGE, crazy, challenging, exciting, all the feels you can imagine, I worked a covid-season which was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I was so new to the design world and I was able to work with such a supportive team who helped guide me in my new design journey.
After some big life changes, I decided to transition into the corporate world at Vivint, a leader in home security. At Vivint I was given the opportunity to grow as a creative and a leader and push my self in ways I never knew possible. I worked on various projects and dipped my toes into the water of many different types of design - print, digital, social media, event, overseas production, creative direction, photography and so on. I truly had the opportunity to work on it all (and sometimes even manage).
After a lot of leadership change, I decided to go solar and join Kin Home! We have a small design team, just the Creative Director and me but we do it all. Being at a start-up I am learning way more than design, I’m learning project management, back-end development, copywriting and all the fun stuff that comes with being on a small team. In addition to design, I also manage our social media platforms which opens a whole new can of worms.
If you’ve read this far, I’m proud of you. My journey has been full of many turns and I am loving all the growth along the way and am excited for all that’s to come.
